On a two-lane road you have to wait until the pedestrian gets to the other side of the roadway.

So here, if you look down here, you see that you're waiting to turn right and here you have pedestrians crossing across here.

The pedestrian has to attain the other side of the intersection before you can go.

You must have one lane between you and the pedestrian.

One Lane Between Your Vehicle & the Pedestrian

And the reason for that is in the event that they forget something and come back or they have kids with them and the kids get away from the parents and come back.

That way there's a buffer of space between your vehicle here and the pedestrian.

You must have one lane between you and the pedestrian before proceeding with the turn.

Multi-Lane Road

If you're turning right on a multi-lane road from here onto a multi-lane on the inside lane—the right-hand lane—the pedestrian has to attain the center of the roadway before you can turn.

That way there's one lane - a buffer of space.

So you need one lane between you and the pedestrian before you proceed.

Driver far too close to pedestrian which is an automatic fail on a driver's test.

If you're turning left on two lanes of traffic travelling in opposite directions, the pedestrian has to attain here - the curb.

If it's a multi-lane, you're going to turn left and you're going to turn left into the inside lane, therefore the pedestrian has to reach the center point between these two roadways on the other side.

If the pedestrian is heading in the other direction—the pedestrian is heading in this direction—than the pedestrian has to attain the curb.

For the purposes of a road test, when you're trying to turn either right or left you need one lane, one roadway lane, between you and the pedestrian before you proceed for the purposes of a road test.
