This logbook course for both American and Canadian commercial drivers operating beyond 100 miles of their home terminal in the United States of America.

This is the logbook course for the United States' Hours of Service Regulations.

CDL drivers are required to keep a logbook if they are operating beyond a 100 miles of their home terminal (the place from which they are working).

Basic rules include:

  • 11 hours driving time;
  • 10 consecutive hours off-duty - a 30 minute break at or before the 8-hours after you last 10-consecutive hour break;
  • workday must occur within a 14-hour window.

The work cycles in the United States are 70 hours in 8 days if you're company operates 24/7 or 60 hours in 7 days if you're company does not.
