How to Unhook a Semi-Trailer for CDL Licence

ATTENTION DRIVERS! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Do NOT ever crank the trailer up off of the 5th Wheel. NOT EVER! It will facilitate Damage to the Gears in the Landing Gear trans, and more often than not create a "High Hook" situation for the next driver. Don't even take pressure off of the Tractor suspension. Just run the landing gear down until the pads barely touch the ground, then put the landing gear in "low" and stow it in it's cradle. Now proceed to the next step pulling the pin to release the trailer, dumping tractor suspension etc.
